TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Your holiday is important to us. This document is intended to ensure that you understand the terms and conditions, to protect you and other guests and to maintain your holiday house to a high standard.
We also want to ensure that the administration process is simple and efficient as possible to avoid disappointment.
AVAILABILITY AND RATES
Rates can change without notice
Booking fee $50
Pet fee $50 per stay
Linen hire fee is $30 per Queen bed, $20 per single beds, $10 per cot hire, $10 per high chair hire. Linen rental includes all bed linen, bath towels, bath mats, hand towel and tea towels. Pillows, blankets and feather doonas and covers are provided.
Alternatively BYO linen at no cost.
$30 accommodation fee for extra person over 6 people. Maximum of and 2 dogs (unless approved)
Check in after 2pm and check out before 10am.
Rental rates vary according to season and are subject to change without notice. Rates are quoted as weekly (Saturday to Saturday – check in after 2pm and check out before 10am). COOLUM OCEAN VIEWS has a minimum of 3 night stay. COOLUM BOUTIQUE has a minimum of 7 nights stay. We reserve the right to decline any booking request within 5 days of receipt of your booking.
LINEN AND CLEANING
COOLUM OCEAN VIEWS: Linen charge per person is detailed on the booking form alternatively BYO. No linen service or cleaning services will be provided during your stay. Please BYO Beach towels. Contact details of independent cleaning and laundry services are provided in the information booklet located at the property. Please use at your expense as required. Thank you.
BOUTIQUE TREE HOUSE: Linen is provided at no charge. 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, 2 pillow cases, 2 bathroom towels, 1 bath mat, 2 hand towels and 2 tea towels. Blankets, doona and pillows. Please BYO beach towel. The properties are professionally cleaned prior to guest arrival. No linen or cleaning services will provided during your stay. Contact details of independent cleaning and laundry services are provided in the information booklet located at the property. Please use at your expense as required.Thank you.
NOT A PARTY HOUSE VENUE
Our house is strictly rented in good faith for the purpose of “family holidays” where noise and use is to be kept at an acceptable level with respect to residential community living and household use.
Absolutely not for the purpose of events celebrations including weddings, parties etc.
Full loss of bond will apply at the discretion of the owner if this condition is abused.
Note : Prior approval is required if number of guests exceeds the maximum stated.
A deposit of 50% is required within 5 days of the booking to secure your holiday. Remember it can take up to 3 days for bank transfers to be received. Payment methods include Internet electronic transfer, payment at any Branch, Cheque or Money Order. Cash payments are not accepted.
The remaining balance of 50% is required 30 days prior to the commencement of your holiday. At this time a deposit bond of $300 will also be required as insurance to cover the costs of any damage. Full bond will be returned provided the property has been left in a satisfactory condition to that found on arrival. Eg BBQ/oven left clean, dog droppings removed, no damages etc. The bond will be refund via bank transfer once satisfactory bond check has been carried out following your departure.
Keys collection arrangements will be forwarded once full payment is received.
If the final payment and bond are not received by the due date Pet Hols – Sunshine Coast reserve the right to cancel the booking.
BANK TRANSFER FEES
All bank transfer fees incurred through international transfer will be borne by the guest to ensure the correct payment is received. These fees will be passed on to the guest if not included in transfer amount.
Upon receipt of your booking form you will be sent an email confirming the details of your holiday booking together with instructions on how to pay your deposit, the balance and other related details. Please check the details in this email to ensure its accuracy in line with your booking proposal.
The following applies in the event that you cancel your booking. It may be advisable to consider travel insurance to compensate for any loss of payment. All cancellations must be advised in writing. No refund will be forthcoming unless and until the holiday house is re-let. If this is achieved all moneys paid will be returned less $150 administration fee. No refund will be given for no show or early departure.
All dogs are welcome inside under supervision but are not allowed on furniture and beds and guests will be held responsible for any damage that pets cause, which will be deducted from the bond. It is a policy of Pet Hols – Sunshine Coast that all pets have up to date vaccinations and have been treated appropriately for fleas.
Dogs are not allowed in the Spa area. Doggie bags are provided to ensure that the yard is kept tidy and clean. Dogs must be appropriately cleaned after your trips to the beach to ensure that sand, mud etc, is removed prior to entry in the house. Water hoses provided for this purpose. Please also ensure that dogs are not left unattended for extended periods which may cause them distress. Please bring dog towels and do not use the house towels. As a dog friendly holiday house dogs are obviously welcome but our policy requires that you advise us prior to booking if you intend to bring more than 2 dogs as we will provide permission for this on a case by case basis.
- All tenants checking in and signing the terms and conditions must be over 18 years old unless accompanied by an adult. ID may be required.
- Wireless Internet service is provided only and the quality/delivery of service speeds is dependent on the provider not the responsibility of the owner.
- Prior approval will be needed if the number of guests exceeds the maximum stated.
- Any breakages, damage, loss or theft are the tenant’s responsibility during their stay.
- Please ensure dogs are controlled and barking is kept to a minimum.
- Smoking inside the house is not permitted. While smoking outside cigarette butts must be disposed of appropriately.
- The owners take no responsibility for the theft or loss of tenant’s property.
- Any breached conditions may result in termination of tenancy and/or loss of bond.
- The booking is made in good faith by us and we cannot accept claims for costs relating to booking mishaps/misunderstandings other than a full refund of the booking fees within the constraints of the above conditions.
TERMINATION BY AGENT
If the Premises becomes unavailable for occupancy before or during your stay for any reason (i.e. damage to the Premises, carrying out emergency repairs, sale of the Premises by the owner, the termination of our appointment to act as Agent for the Premises or any other eventually), we will endeavour to find suitable alternative arrangements for your stay. If satisfactory alternative arrangements cannot be made, we will refund monies paid for the whole or part of the booking not fulfilled.
The Agent cannot be held responsible should a property be listed for sale, sold or the Agent’s appointment to act is terminated and your booking is cancelled.

Dog hair must be cleaned from the house and outside areas by the guest prior to their departure. An extra charge will be discounted from their bond refund should the house not be left in the same condition as it was found.
